Starting a new business a scary, adult stuff. But there comes a time when you have to make a move or resign your skills to a hobby you inevitably never have enough time for.

I've been working with stained and beveled glass windows since I was a teenager, having apprenticed under my father. He is a master beveler and has decades of experience under his belt in both restorations of antique windows and custom designs for new home improvement installations. I trained under him for years until he retired, and this art became a hobby.

But I have so much more to do, and it wasn't going to happen if I didn't get serious.

I am now the sole owner/operator of a new glassworks business, and I aim to continue the family tradition of quality glass production and long-standing track record of customer satisfaction, but adding a modern take on glasswork and home decor. Traditionally, the craft was only windows, but modern living is increasingly incompatible with lavish, big stained glass windows.

Enter smaller, modern glass home decor. Glass flowers in vases, jewelry boxes that shine, tissue box covers that turn an ordinary Kleenex box into a conversation piece. And on the more traditional side but with a twist, stained glass windows mounted in backlit shadowbox frames you can hang on any wall and still marvel at fully lit, colorful designs.

I have put all the weight of legacy on my shoulders and it's time to sink or swim in my mission to revitalize a family passion for creative glass home decor everyone can enjoy.

The next few weeks will be a blur of legal documents and website construction (please pardon the current mess), as well as kicking production into full gear for my first line of products (available soon via this site and most likely Etsy).

And while starting a new business is super scary and the frontend is new and a lot of work, I've got all the experience in the world when it comes to backend glass production. I have confidence you're going to like what you see here.
